Bus Story: Temporal Hiccups

March 25, 2011

Friday arrives and brings back gray and rain, but The Mountain is out. I’m listening to “Black Hole Sun” but it is performed by a string quartet. The ridership this morning seems quiet but there is an undercurrent of something rippling through everyone. Two guys are reading actual newspapers. A young woman is dressed as Rosie the Riveter, complete with head scarf, rolled sleeves and work boots. A guy across from her is dressed like a newsboy from the 1930’s, minus the knee-pants. In the morning light, the buildings downtown have a slightly sepia tone to them. Would someone please check the time-stream generator? It may need a thump or some WD-40.
