Bus Story: The Beauty of Relaxed Self Awareness

March 18, 2011

The sun has been out, streaming through the clouds this St. Patrick’s Day, and the ridership heading home seems pleased with the Thursday and it’s proximity to the weekend. I find a seat in the back and spot a familiar face, although it has been quite some time since I shared the ride home with her on the ole 54. You may remember the tired but determined woman I wrote about, and for whom I wished I had the superpower to let her see her own fabulousness. There she is, sitting across from me. And she is not working, she’s reading a book and smiling. Her face is strong, as before, but gone is the worry and stress and she sits tall, relaxed, and quite composed. She found her fabulousness on her own, and is all the more beautiful for it.
