Bus Story: Let It Go, Man

June 8, 2010

The guy in front of me keeps swiveling his head around, with this look of concern and discomfiture. I take stock of what I’m doing: headphones working (not blasting Robbie Williams to the world), not tapping my feet, not giggling maniacally to myself. So it’s not me. Then I notice that he turns his head whenever the bus changes lanes or pulls into traffic. Oh Jeez oh Pete. It’s nice that you are looking out for us, but you can’t control this situation, bub. Let the Driver Dude handle things. I’m sure we’ll be fine.
