Bus Story: A Reflective Moment not without Discomfort

March 11, 2010

It’s a classic gray Seattle morning, rain delicately tapping on our heads and windshields. The riders have an overall gray aspect as well. I think many are worn by the weather and that it’s Thursday and the push to the weekend is hitting. And then “It’s a Mad World” starts playing through my earphones. The somber tune and lyrics swirl around the grayness the ole 54 and it fit. It IS a rather mad world and sometimes stopping to think on it can be rough, but also calming. We are in transit together, fellow riders, take comfort in that. Oh, and hold on for goodness sake, it’s slippery when it rains.
