Bus Story: Say It, Don’t Spray It

December 1, 2009

A very young mother sits with her toddler son. He’s at that really chatty age; comments and observations about everything. A sense of delight pervades the bus. And then he starts sneezing, in that staccato-rapid fire way, turning his head left and right. Kinda like a rather icky garden sprinkler. Young Mom doesn’t even react, much less wipe or cover his nose and mouth. The sense of delight is replaced by a sadness and a desire for Purell and Lysol.
